Ecodep carries out disposal activities consisting of preliminary deposit operations, recovery and storage of special waste. Ecodep is a center for the storage and disposal of special, hazardous and non-hazardous waste, also for third parties.
Waste storage is performed for homogeneous types in compliance with current environmental legislation. Ecodep takes care of the waste to be subjected to selection and becomes a producer of the fractions obtained that are destined for recovery; the non-recoverable residues are destined for disposal.
Ecodep is authorized to carry out preliminary deposit operations (D15) consisting of the storage of special waste of different types and origins, without any waste recovery interventions being performed at the storage facility.
Upon reaching the sufficient quantities that justify the composition of a load, the special waste subjected to the preliminary deposit is sent to the disposal in authorized external plants (landfills).
Accumulation of materials
Ecodep is authorized to carry out operations of only accumulation of materials (R13).
The only acculumation activity consists in the storage of waste of different types and origins, aimed at the subsequent sending to the other recovery phases.
Ecodep is authorized to carry out waste reconditioning operations (D14); specifically, the company is authorized to perform shredding and grinding operations and volumetric adjustment by pressing and compacting waste.
Crushing / Grinding
The shredding of waste is performed on industrial waste that need to be reduced in volume or to be subjected to a separation from the various components in different materials from which they are made (plastic, metal, etc.). The plant for shredding and grinding waste is also used for the recovery of solid waste: plastic and metal (Operations R3 and R4).
Volumetric adjustment by pressing / compaction
The pressing and compaction is carried out on special voluminous waste, in order to reduce its size. The plant used is made up of a 30 Ton discontinuous hydraulic press for hazardous waste and, for non-hazardous waste, a continuous 80 Ton hydraulic press.
