The correct management and consequent disposal of industrial waste and waste derived from production activities starts from the precise identification of the characteristics of the waste and its degree of danger.<\/p>

The Ecodep laboratory is equipped for the analytical control of the process parameters and allows you to solve, in real time, any management problem of the plants and evaluate in advance, with certified direct tests, the treatability or otherwise of any type of liquid waste involved in disposal.<\/p>

The analyses are mandatory for:<\/p>

_ Transfer to landfill, in order to determine its admissibility according to the provisions of the DM 09\/27\/2010
_ Transfer to waste-to-energy plants, to verify compliance with the provisions contained in the plant’s operating authorization
_ Transfer to waste recovery activities under a simplified regime, for which the Ministerial Decree 05\/02\/1998 and the D.M. 161\/2002 establish that the analyses are carried out by the producer on the occasion of the first delivery and subsequently, every 12 months for hazardous waste and every 24 months for non-hazardous waste, and in any case whenever substantial changes occur in the production processes.

The fourth part of Legislative Decree 152\/06 contains the legislation that establishes two different procedures for determining the admissibility of waste in a given disposal plant at recovery.
Procedures consist in the legal classification<\/strong> of the waste and in the characterization analyses<\/strong> of the same. Each of these procedures takes place at distinct times in the cognitive process of rejection and establishes distinct aspects.<\/p>

Article 184 of Legislative Decree 152\/2006 regulates the principles of classification of waste, in the first instance based on the origin<\/strong>, distinguishing between urban waste and special waste<\/strong>, secondly based on the process from which it is generated and in conclusion, for the physical state in which the waste is found (solid, liquid, muddy or dusty).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The classification of waste takes place through the use of the European Waste List, which allows the identification of the correct CBR code (or EER code) suitable for identifying the hazardousness or non-hazardousness of the waste. In case of hazardous waste, they are then defined the specific hazard characteristics assigned.<\/p>

In cases where the waste under investigation is not attributable to a codified production process or it is difficult to specifically identify the correct one among the CER codes, it is necessary to proceed with the characterization of the waste, describing:<\/p>

_the process that originates it
_the raw materials used
_substances with which it has come into contact

This information makes it possible to define the degree of danger of the waste and to verify the suitability of the plant to which it is sent.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Waste analyses are not always mandatory. The obligation exists, for example, for landfilling or for mirror waste (waste classified as dangerous only if the concentrations of dangerous substances exceed the legal limits), while in other cases the analysis is only necessary for the purpose of characterizing the waste.<\/p>

The periodicity of the analyses also varies according to the destination of the waste the production process from which it is generated or particular regulatory requirements that concern it.<\/p>

Chemical analyses on waste are divided into:<\/p>

_classification<\/strong>, to determine the hazardousness of the waste
_characterization<\/strong>, to describe the waste exhaustively its characteristics chemical and physical and components
_admissibility<\/strong>, to define the methods of disposal or recovery of the waste
